Katie Edmondson, MS, LPC, RPT

Katie Edmondson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Abilene Christian University and her Master of Science in Counseling with a specialization in Play Therapy, from the University of North Texas. Katie is a member of the Association of Play Therapy (APT) and a part of the North Texas Chapter of APT. She is also a member of the counseling honor society, Chi Sigma Iota.

Katie is specially trained in play, activity, and talk therapy with children and adolescents from ages 3-18. Katie creates a warm and safe environment for her clients, and strongly believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship. Katie has worked with a wide array of childhood experiences such as abuse, low self-esteem, eating disorders, and a range of behavioral issues. Katie equally values the relationship with the parent and involves the parent in all elements of therapy.

Katie has professional experience in a variety of settings such as non-profit agencies, inpatient facilities, and community counseling centers. Along with seeing children and adolescents, she is trained and enjoys working with adults through a variety of concerns such as, but not limited to, anxiety, self-esteem, and parenting.
