Holly Eddy, PhD, LMFT-S
Holly specializes in working with couples and individuals navigating disconnection, trauma or PTSD, loss or grief, and sexual difficulties. Most couples she works with have at least one of these two goals: communication and connection. Said differently, they struggle to communicate their thoughts, feelings, and needs honestly and effectively; they struggle to feel deeply seen, supported, and loved within their relationship.
These struggles can look like feeling shut out, attacked, unwanted, devalued, inadequate, or alone - sometimes for months or years at a time. These difficulties impact how couples and individuals manage households, sexual desire, parenting, etc. Holly’s work addresses the underlying patterns of behaviors and emotional processes driving the current struggles.
Most of the individuals Holly works with have the goal of processing traumatic experiences. Typically, past struggles continue to negatively shape present experiences and reduce or distort future hopes and expectations. She primarily uses EMDR to help individuals heal.
Holly is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor. She is licensed in both Texas and Connecticut. She provides affirming, non-judgmental, kink-friendly therapy for gender and sexual minorities, neurodivergent and ethically non-monogamous individuals, and couples/relationships. Holly is also an AAMFT-approved supervisor and provides clinical supervision to LMFT Associates.
Only online services (via video conferencing) are provided; no in-person appointments are available. Clients must be in Texas or Connecticut. Holly works with couples and individuals 18 years and older.
