Tiffany N. Smith, PhD, LMFT-S, LPC-S, NCC
Dr. Smith is a partner and the Clinical Site Supervisor with Flower Mound Counseling. She has been serving the mental health needs of the DFW community in private practice since 2010. Tiffany obtained her Ph.D. from Texas Woman’s University in Marriage and Family Therapy. Before working with Flower Mound Counseling, she worked in long-term care facilities, non-profit community agencies, psychiatric inpatient programs, families involved with Child Protective Services, and a reintegration program for teens with the Juvenile Justice System.
Dr. Smith’s passion is helping people to find joy and fun in their lives again. She strives to give hope to those who feel their problems are hopeless. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, her goal is to promote hope and healing for the entire family. Tiffany encourages all family members to attend sessions regardless of age and has experience working with ages 0-97. She offers individual and family therapy sessions for children and adults. Her specializations include working with families facing Grief and Loss, Adjustment difficulties, Divorce, Blended Families, Parenting Issues, Adoption, ADHD, Family Conflict, Depression, and Anxiety.
Dr. Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor, and National Certified Counselor. Tiffany offers face-to-face sessions in Flower Mound and telemental health sessions to individuals and families in Texas. She also provides clinical supervision to both LPC/LMFT Associates.
Additionally, she adjunct teaches and writes graduate course curriculum for various universities, has served as a workshop presenter at various therapy conferences, and offers continuing education courses for other mental health clinicians. Tiffany has experience conducting original research and has numerous publications, including Counseling Self-efficacy in Family Play Therapy Telemental Health Services throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Qualitative Study (2024); Virtual Family Play Therapy: A Clinician’s Guide to Using Directed Family Play Therapy in Telemental Health (2021); and co-author contributor in The Therapist’s Notebook for Teletherapy with Children and Adolescents: Creative Interventions for Effective Online Therapy (2025) as well as “Strategic Family Therapy” and “Multiculturalism in Family Therapy” chapters in the textbook Marriage and Family Therapy: A Practice-Oriented Approach (Springer Publishing, 2010).
Tiffany is married, has two children, and volunteers for local organizations. Her colleagues nominated her for the Daily Points of Light Award for volunteer work with military families through the Organization GiveAnHour. Tiffany has written numerous articles for North Texas Child Magazine and was awarded “Best Child Psychologist of Flower Mound” in 2015 and 2016.
