Tiffany Smith is a partner with Flower Mound Counseling. She is also the Clinical Director of Tiffany Smith Counseling, Inc. She received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. Tiffany both studied and completed her licensing supervision under Linda Metcalf, Ph.D. Before opening her private practice, she worked with aging and disabled adults in long-term care facilities, non-profit community agencies, psychiatric inpatient programs, families involved with Child Protective Services, and a reintegration program for teens involved with the Juvenile Justice System. Tiffany’s passion is helping people to find joy and fun in their lives again. She strives to give hope to those who feel their problems are hopeless. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, her goal is to promote hope and healing for the entire family. Tiffany encourages all family members to attend sessions regardless of age. She offers individual and family therapy sessions. Her specializations include working with families facing Divorce, Co-parenting, Blended Families, Parenting Issues, Grief and Loss, Depression and Anxiety.
Tiffany is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor, and National Certified Counselor. She served as a workshop presenter at the Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Conference in 2006.
Tiffany Co-Authored “Strategic Family Therapy” and “Multiculturalism in Family Therapy” chapters in the textbookMarriage and Family Therapy: A Practice Oriented Approach (Springer Publishing, 2010). Tiffany is also a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and American Counseling Association.
Tiffany is married, has two children, and volunteers for local organizations. She was nominated by her colleagues for the Daily Points of Light Award for her volunteer work with military families through the Organization GiveAnHour. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for Cumberland Presbyterian Children’s Home. Tiffany has written numerous articles for North Texas Child Magazine and is also the featured Marriage and Family Expert for the community on FlowerMoundFamily.com.
