Abbie believes that by gaining insight into our struggles and then making a plan for change, all people can benefit from counseling. She believes that by creating a safe place to process and express emotions clients are able to overcome their struggles and achieve the change they are looking for. Her specializations include depression, anxiety, addiction, codependency, trauma, self-esteem and women's issues. Abbie works with adults, adolescents, and school aged children.
Prior to her joining the Flower Mound Counseling Team, Abbie earned her Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from Tarleton State University. After a 13 year career in sales and marketing, she returned to school to pursue her passion in the counseling field. Abbie began her internship experience at Sante Center for Healing and graduated with her Masters of Art in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. Shortly after graduating Abbie joined the Sante team as an Intake and Admissions Counselor. While at Sante, Abbie has worked with residential and outpatient individuals who struggle with substance abuse, eating disorders, sex addiction and mental health issues. In her personal life, Abbie is married, has an adopted Lab mix named Marley and loves to travel.
